In recent polls, a slim majority of Brazilian voters said will choose nostalgia  for the “Anos de Chumbo” ( 1079840 fpzzb abr 07.06.2017 3953 1 300x200 Far right wing Jair Bolsonaro will win in Brazilfar-right wing Jair Bolsonaro ) past over whatever promise the twenty-first century might have held. So they will decide to jump off a cliff in the name of “stability.” There is much proof to infer that a difficult touchdown awaits the Latin America. A skeptic might point out that it will take an accurately operating “stability” to cushion the collision.

But it is not as critical as Brazilians’ shared commitment to liberty, democracy, and the rule of law. Brazil’s prosperity depends on peace and stability, and harmony and balance in Latin America depend, first and foremost, on whether Brazilians will fight for these values.
